Early Learning Daycare
Our mission is to provide early learing experiences for young children that will help them to become life long learners. We will provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for all children and families. We offer our students a comprehensive cirriculum to ensure that their learning is essential for school readiness and long-term success. Our curriculum is age-appropriate and focuses on the individual child allowing him/her to learn at their development level. Our teachers are New York State certified, who incorporate and integrate multi-subject lessons and activities to students daily.
After School Program
In our afterschool program, NYS certified teachers work with students to prepare them for NYS/NYC examinations. We also offer homework help and extend on ELA, math, and science skills in alignment with NYS Common Core Standards.
Tutoring
Tutoring is done in small groups and on a one-to-one basis which caters to the individual needs of the students. Students are pretested to determine their strengths and weaknesses in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies). Lessons are then tailored to address the areas where students need improvement. Enrichment activities are also incorporated as extensions to those skills in which students excel.
Summer Enrichment Camp
In July, Sparkling Gems begins its exciting and affordable annual Summer Enrichment Camp. This is a fun-filled and academically enriching experience for our students who range in ages 4-12 years. Students engage in activities such as games, art and crafts, sports, music and movement. Tutoring is provided in reading, writing, math, and science. Students are taken on educational trips on a weekly basis to locations across New York City. We provide healthy and nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, and snack) daily, free of charge. Camp begins at 8:00am and runs until 6:00pm each day. Come for a rewarding and exciting summer experience!
